I was given the opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Lisbon to find out what it had to offer for our groups, incentives and conference clients. Lisbon is the stunning capital city of Portugal and is one of the most charismatic and vibrant cities of Europe. It is a city that effortlessly blends traditional heritage along with striking modernism.

Lisbon Incentives The flight from London Heathrow to Lisbon was direct and takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. On arrival we were taken straight to the Myriad by SANA hotel which is approximately a 10-minute drive from Lisbon Airport. This is perfect if you would prefer a hotel close to the airport, especially for conferences as you may have people arriving throughout the day.

Before dinner we were shown around the Myriad by SANA hotel. This hotel has a unique location in the city of Lisbon, overlooking the Tagus River. The Myriad by SANA hotel has 176 rooms with views over the Tagus River and Parque das Nações.

For meetings and events, the Myriad has 3 meeting rooms and, connected to the hotel by a covered aerial bridge, is a modern conference and event centre called the Myriad Crystal Centre. This has 7 meeting rooms, 5 boardrooms, foyer and terrace.

The following day we visited the 4* SANA Metropolitan Hotel. With 315 bedrooms and 11 meeting rooms, the largest of which can hold 120 people in cabaret style seating, this is a perfect venue for meetings or conferences with an average budget. 

TimeOut Market Lisbon

Lisbon Incentives We headed to the ‘TimeOut Market Lisbon’ where they had arranged for us to do ‘Christmas on a plate’ which turned out to be a cookery class in the market. We made a variety of things from Christmas cookies to chocolate-based treats. This type of activity is great for team building as you are paired up with someone from your group and you both take turns in doing the cooking or baking. Just before lunch we were taken to see the SUD Lisboa, which is right by the Tagus River and has some incredible spaces and beautiful views of the river. Big events such as weddings, conferences, Christmas parties, incentives and other corporate events would be perfect here. The venue has its own catering and AV services that clients can use for any of their events too. They also have a rooftop terrace which can be used for private receptions for drinks and has glass panels which open to the terrace outside and would be perfect in good weather.

A visit to the 4* Lisboa SANA Hotel followed which is approximately 15 minutes away from Lisbon Airport. The hotel has 287 bedrooms and 15 meeting rooms.

After lunch we went on a Tuk Tuk adventure around Lisbon city centre, this is the perfect way to get around the city and see all the sites, before heading to the EPIC SANA Hotel.

This hotel has a total of 311 bedrooms along with 8 meeting rooms on the second floor and spa facilities on the ground floor. The hotel is located in the North-Western centre of Lisbon which is within easy reach of sights and attractions. After looking at all the different bedrooms and meeting facilities we were then taken to the restaurant where they had reserved us a private area for dinner where, we had an amazing four course meal which I could not fault.

After dinner, we were transferred to ‘Evolution’ which is a bar as well as a hotel located in the business area of Lisbon. The bar has a DJ most nights and the bar does become very busy all throughout the week. The hotel rooms are great if you like that quirky/modern look to rooms. They have two types of rooms - ‘cool rooms’ and ‘super cool rooms’ with a total of 129 bedrooms. They also have a small meeting room, for a maximum of 10 people, which has all the equipment and tech you need.

On our final day we visited the 4* SANA Malhoa Hotel with its 170 bedroom and 7 meeting rooms, the largest of which can hold 400 people in theatre style seating.
