Pathfinder together with the Uzbek-British Trade and Industry Council, (UBTIC) is pleased to announce a high level Trade Mission to Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 20 – 23 March 2012, with a further opportunity to visit the majestic cities of Bukhara and Samarkand. This will be a high level mission led by Dr Hartley Booth OBE, Chairman of UBTIC and Michael Thomas, PTi (Vice Chairman, UBTIC) with the support of the British Embassy in Tashkent, UKTI through UBTIC and working with the Government of Uzbekistan. Delegates will have a unique opportunity of meeting with Government Ministers and decision makers to discuss opportunities in Uzbekistan for trade and investment.

Uzbekistan is rich in natural resources of oil, gas, gold and silver and is one of the world’s biggest producers of cotton. The Uzbekistan market should also attract companies interested in infrastructure, financial services, IT, education, healthcare and agriculture. To provide more information and to answer any queries, we shall be arranging a pre-mission briefing in London prior to departure, details to be advised.

As a second option we are proposing to extend the mission to 27 March 2012 to enable missioners to take in a sightseeing tour of Bukhara and Samarkand, two ancient cities on the Great Silk Route with splendid architectural opulence.
