The Middle East Association will be taking a Multi-Sector Trade Mission to Saudi Arabia. It will visit three centres: Riyadh, Jeddah and Al-Khobar (Eastern Province).

Saudi Arabia is the UK’s single largest export destination in the MENA Region and our bilateral trade is worth some £4bn. Its economy continues to grow at 4% on the back of strong oil prices. A population of 27m, expanding at 2.8% pa, is the driving force behind colossal infrastructure projects for education, health, housing and transport, costed at $650 bn+ in the current 9th Development Plan.

There is a market in the Kingdom for all British exporters of goods and services. The MEA mission format is ideal for SMEs who are newcomers to the market, and the mission offers participants the flexibility of visiting one, two or three of the centres. UK Trade & Investment will be able to assist missioners with contacts and market information through its Overseas Market Introduction Service. For the mission, the British Trade Office in Al-Khobar is organizing a British Energy Week which will have its own bespoke programme from 2-5 December for UK companies in the energy sector.

British Offset Office continues its generous sponsorship of the MEA’s Trade Missions to KSA in the form of a travel grant of £500 for newcomers and £350 for a second visit. It is, however, only available if you are a manufacturer.
