Following the biggest trade mission from the UK to Azerbaijan last year, the Middle East Association will be taking another Trade Mission to the country from 23rd to 27th September. The mission has the full support of the British Embassy in Baku and the Azeri Embassy in London.
The UK is the largest foreign investor in Azerbaijan, and there are over 150 UK companies represented. Azerbaijan offers:
- A population of 9 million people
- Political stability and one of the fastest-growing economies in the world
- Oil, natural gas, gold, silver, and raw material deposits
- A logistical centre for Europe, the Middle East and the rest of Asia
Azerbaijan has undertaken effective reforms, simplifying business registration, lowering corporate tax, increasing efficiency, and facilitating new ventures. It has a well-developed infrastructure and low-cost skilled labour force.
